Biking
The downhill runs in Tignes are suited for anyone to have a go, the lifts are adapted to carry your bikes back up to the top, so you can have fun actioned packed days trying the different trails. You could also try the final climb of the Tour de France stage, if you are more into racing. The Col de l’Iseran is open during the summer months and you can get access to this from Tignes travelling through the ski resort of Val d Isere and up the col.
Skiing
The funicular is also there for uplifting the thousands of summer skiers who come to Tignes to ski on the Grand Motte glacier. There are also summer ski and snowboard lessons available to help you improve your techniques.
Golf
Tignes also boasts the highest 18-hole golf course in Europe, which winds its way around the fantastic lake. A great option is to buy a ski/golf ticket, which allows you to ski in the morning and play golf in the afternoon.
The Lake
Tignes lake once defrosted from the winter has plenty of activities to offer, like the waterslides and water jump, sailing, canoeing, fishing, walks around the lake or just sitting and chilling in the sunshine.

Mountaineering, horse riding, rock climbing, hiking, adventure trails, quad biking, paragliding, 28 tennis courts, Skate Park and a children's playground.
In June 2006 a very impressive aquatic centre was opened at the edge of the lake offering a 25 metre pool, kid's pool, water slides and a spa centre with sauna / jacuzzi / steam room etc.
Lastly an exciting option is to head down into the valley to Bourg St Maurice where you can white water raft, canoe or kayak down a 24 kilometre stretch of the Isere River.
